Glomerular filtrate contains blood without blood cells and proteins.
In a nephron in the kidney, the material that diffuses from the glomerulus to the glomerular capsule is called glomerular filtrate. This filtrate comprises of a large amount of water and other dissolved substances. These dissolved substances are urea, creatinine, amino acids, uric acid, glucose, metals like Sodium, potassium, vitamins etc. The filtered blood flows into the efferentrenal arterioles. Thus, the glomerular filtrate and blood plasma are similar except that glomerular filtrate lacks proteins and blood cells.
Glomerular Filtrate
The other options:
Plasma without sugar- the plasma without proteins is filtered out, hence this option is incorrect.
All constituents of blood except the blood cells- Cells are also part of the filtrate, hence this option is incorrect.
Excess water, waste product & toxic substances- This is blood without urea. Urea is harmful and hence excreted out of the body.
