The observation method is a research approach where psychologists examine behavior in natural or controlled environments without intervention. It aids in understanding authentic interactions and behavioral patterns. Observations can be either structured (systematic and planned) or unstructured (flexible and spontaneous). While this method offers valuable insights, it may be affected by observer bias and a lack of control over variables.
