There are two mammary glands or milk producing glands found in each normal female. Males also contain mammary glands but in rudimentary or vestigial form. Each mammary gland lies over the chest musles. Mammary glands are modified sweat glands.

A loreal pit between the eye and. nostril is found in pit vipers like Ancistrodon and Crotalus (rattle snake) of North America.
