Step 1: Meaning of Pratishakhya.
Pratishakhya texts are phonetic treatises attached to each Veda.
They explain rules of pronunciation, sandhi (euphonic combination), intonation, and recitation style of Vedic mantras.
Step 2: Samaveda Pratishakhyas.
Samaveda has two important Pratishakhya texts:
1. Pushpasutra (also called Pushpasutram).
2. Riktantra.
These works deal with the phonetic details and chanting style unique to Samaveda.
