Work And Energy

Work is done when a force is applied to an object causing it to move. Work is a transfer of energy. Energy is the capacity of an object to do work, but it is not work itself. An example where work is done, but the kinetic energy doesn't change is when an object is lifted at constant velocity. The work done is converted into potential energy, and the kinetic energy remains constant.
