Red clay becomes terracotta, kaolin clay is slip ware when applied as a mixture, and firing clay at high temperatures forms stoneware.
Thermo ware and bone ware are unrelated.

Ball clay contains kaolinite, quartz, and trace magnesium.
It does not contain mica or flux, which are non-plastic elements and not part of its composition.

Engobe is a decorative slip applied to pottery during the leather hard stage. At this stage, the clay is firm yet moist, allowing the engobe to bond effectively. Applying it during other stages may result in poor adhesion or flaking.

Porcelain is a vitrified ceramic that is hard, dense, and white due to the high temperatures at which it is fired. It is never red, yellow, or brown. Its translucent qualities make it distinctive among ceramics.

Kaolin, also called China Clay, is named after Gaoling village in China, where it was first discovered. It is a pure white clay used extensively in porcelain production. Other clays like red, ball, and brown clay have different compositions and are not Kaolin.
