Mahatma Gandhi Through Contemporary Eyes

Gandhi ji's rise to leadership was based on his unique ability to inspire the masses and connect with them on a personal level. The Non-Cooperation Movement began in 1920, not 1930. It was launched by Mahatma Gandhi in response to the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and aimed to resist British rule through non-violent means such as non-payment of taxes and boycotts.
