Podocytes or foot cells are specialised cells of peculiar shape present in the epithelium visceral inner layer of Bowmans capsule, surrounding the glomerulus. They possess foot like processes or projections, the pedicels. Hence, called as foot cells. Outer wall of Bowmans capsule is made of squamous cells.
