Network Topologies

In a star topology, each node is connected to a central hub or switch. If one computer fails, it does not affect the other computers. The failure of one node does not impact the entire network, which is a key advantage of star topology.

In ring topology, each device is connected to the next, forming a loop. If the central server or any node fails, the entire network stops functioning because data cannot circulate through the loop. This makes ring topology more susceptible to failure than others like star topology.
