Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Fuji, and K2 are also significant peaks, but none surpass Mount Everest in height.

The Earth's mantle is primarily composed of silicate minerals, which include olivine, pyroxenes, and feldspar.
These minerals are rich in magnesium and iron, but the mantle's main composition is silicates, which are compounds containing silicon and oxygen.
Iron and nickel are primarily found in the Earth's core, while water, gases, and organic materials are not major components of the mantle.

The Equator receives the most direct sunlight because it lies directly between the North and South Poles, making it the hottest region on Earth.
It is also equidistant from the North and South Poles, ensuring that both hemispheres are equally divided.

Folding is the process by which the Earth's crust is compressed and bent due to tectonic forces.
This occurs when two tectonic plates collide and push against each other, causing the crust to fold into various shapes like anticlines and synclines.
Folding can create mountain ranges and other geological features. A well-known example is the Himalayan mountain range, formed by the collision of the Indian and Eurasian plates.
Subduction refers to the process where one tectonic plate is forced beneath another, and volcanism involves the eruption of magma from below the Earth's surface.

A canyon is a deep, narrow valley with steep sides, typically carved out by river erosion over long periods of time.
Rivers erode the land through a combination of hydraulic action, abrasion, and corrosion, eventually carving out these deep channels.
For example, the Grand Canyon in the United States was formed by the Colorado River over millions of years.
A delta, on the other hand, is formed by the deposition of sediment carried by a river as the flow velocity decreases when the river meets a standing body of water.
Plateaus are flat elevated areas, and sand dunes are formed by wind, not water.

The largest desert in the world is the Antarctic Desert, which covers an area of about 14 million square kilometers.
Despite being cold, Antarctica is classified as a desert because it receives very little precipitation, averaging less than 50 millimeters per year.
While most people associate deserts with hot climates, deserts are defined by their dryness, not temperature.
The Sahara Desert is the largest hot desert in the world, but it is not the largest overall. The Gobi and Kalahari are also significant deserts but are smaller than the Antarctic Desert.

Seasons occur due to the tilt of Earth's axis, which is about 23.5 degrees relative to its orbital plane.
This tilt causes different parts of the Earth to receive varying amounts of sunlight throughout the year.
When one hemisphere is tilted towards the Sun, it experiences summer because the Sun's rays strike it more directly.
At the same time, the other hemisphere is tilted away and experiences winter because the Sun's rays are spread out over a larger area, making the days shorter and colder.
The Earth's distance from the Sun does not significantly affect the seasons, as the Earth's orbit is nearly circular, meaning the change in distance is minimal.
Similarly, the Earth's revolution around the Sun affects the timing of the seasons, but it is the axial tilt that is the primary cause.
