F.India Ltd. is a chain of ladies garment boutiques where most of the work is done on hand basis or manually. Mr. N is responsible for the growth, survival and welfare of the firm. He formulates overall organisational goal and strategies for their achievement. Due to entry of imported brands in India, the company is finding it difficult to compete on two fronts-finishing and embroidery work. Mr. G, the production manager of the company, realised that without modern machines, it would not be possible for them to survive in the long run. The company purchased new hi-tech modern machines from abroad.
During the production process, the manager observed that the quality of production is not as per standard and very often production is disrupted due to break down of machinery. The workers got frustrated by continuous rejection of output and standard showing resistance towards new technology. To increase the efficiency of the workers, the company decided to train their workers on the job under the able guidance of specialists. The workers who are able to pick the skills are promoted and made incharge of the not well trained employees. This created positive impact and everybody became keen to learn. Suggestions from workers are valued and workers are encouraged to communicate freely.

They asked their existing staff to suggest names of deserving and experienced people who could be contacted and called for interviews. In the first week, itself, their HR manager Rekha, takes an orientation to familiarise the new employees with the school policies.
The promotion policy in the school is not very clear. The teachers within the school are not given proper dues and acknowledgement. Advertisements are placed in the newspapers for hiring teachers for new vacancies.

Marketing in India is undergoing a sea change. Internet advertising has increased its market share. Whenever we check our email or watch a You Tube video advertisements are bombarded in between. Due to proliferation of mobile phones & data consumption Internet advertising has come of age. Even OTT channels, TV Channels are viewed on mobile phones. Therefore companies have to change their marketing strategies. The use of social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Whatsapp & LinkedIn has increased, but it is not free from limitations. There are many objections against advertising such as it add to cost, undermines social values, confuse buyers etc.
