Ligase is an enzyme that catalyses the bond formation between fragments of DNA. This catalytic reaction will only take place at the expense of the breakdown of ATP or other nucleotide triphosphate.

Plasmin is a proteolytic enzyme in plasma, which can digest many proteins through the process of hydrolysis.It induces lysis of fibrin during fibrinolysis and is known as fibrinolysin.
