Ectothermic organisms are those that control body temperature through external means. As a result, organisms are dependent on environmental heat sources and have relatively low metabolic rates. For example, many reptiles regulate their body temperature by basking in the sun.

As helminthes are pseudocoefbmates. i.e., false coelom occur between the body wall and digestive region, which is derived from blastocoel and is not lined by peritonium. This false coelom certain pseudomative fluid (hydrolymph).
