Amino acid contains both amino group and carboxylic group.
Benzidine is not a amino acid while glycine, alanine and histidine are amino acid.

A sugar molecule and a nitrogenous base form a nucleoside, and a nucleoside plus a phosphate group form a nucleotide. The nucleotides of RNA are called ribonucleotides, and those of DNA deoxyribonucleotides. Ribonucleotides contain the sugar ribose and dexyribonucleotides the sugar deoxyribose.

D - ( + ) - glucose has specific rotation of + 52.5
D-(-)-fructose has specific rotation of - 92.4
while that of invert sugar has laevorotation of - 92-4 + 52 5 = -39.9 .

Glucose can be converted into ethyl alcohol using zymase.
