Electromagnetic Waves

Step 1: Transverse Nature of Electromagnetic Waves.
Electromagnetic waves are transverse in nature, meaning that the electric and magnetic fields oscillate perpendicular to each other and also perpendicular to the direction of propagation of the wave. In an electromagnetic wave, the electric field E and the magnetic field B both oscillate at right angles to each other and to the direction of wave travel.

Step 2: Uses of Radio Waves.
Radio waves are used for:

- **Radar Systems**: For detecting and tracking objects.
