Carbohydrates

Amylose and Amylopectin are polymers of D-glucose, so -link is not possible. Amylose is linear with -linkage whereas Amylopectin is branched and has both and -linkages.

Sugar is a common term used to denote carbohydrate.
Carbohydrates are polyhydroxy aldehyde, ketone or their derivatives, which means they have carbonyl and hydroxyl groups.
